Yule Mushrooms

Every year since the divorce I have crafted a little something for my child to go in their Yuletide Advent Calendar; this year they expressed interest in having some fairy mushrooms, so I began work on three mushrooms using a cube of bass wood for each.

I created a red shroom with the typical round cap and white spots as it felt like a must considering they enjoy Mario. I then wanted something a bit more quirky so created a coned tealy blue. But then I needed to take things a step up and made my favourite with the spiked purple shroom, with some slight highlighting to the edges. I’m quite happy with the outcome of these three things and my child was happy when they pulled them out of the calendar drawer.
