New Forest, Ocknell

In April we took the van down to the New Forest and set ourselves up at Ocknell Campsite which is an excellent campsite, although doesn’t have a great deal of facilities. Min had heard from a friend about a trail off one of the concrete pitches that lead to a lovely gladed area that you could park up, so we did a bit of exploring and found an ideal location. We were under the trees just on the edge away from all the people, but a short walk in to the water tap.

We spent two nights in Ocknell and had a good old potter around the nearby woods and fields surrounding the campsite, and was fortunately blessed with some lovely weather.

On the last day we parked up in a nearby car park and enjoyed the company of some local wildlife and some time to unwind on the picnic blanket before venturing home.
